Why would the author not give the name of the character in the beginning at the train station where he noticed Eugene in the before he arrived at the train. Wonder how did the unknown person get to New York station on a train where there are no way to have train to New York to Indiana where Eugene came from city in Gray. I felt bad and the unknown should be guilty for the involvement actions for getting Eugene kicked out. He lied that he was not guilty about the smoking. Even Talbot knew he involves the action. I did image if Talbot and him roommate and would ended both kicked out just as Eugene did recent. So, shame to hide himself and avoiding the truth of Talbot and the unknown.
